Why is such a luxurious home so affordably priced ?

Just a few years ago, well paying jobs were relatively scarce in the high desert and many home owners found it necessary to commute to earn a decent living. So naturally this effected home prices. All of that is changing rapidly. Many new companies have discovered how affordable it is to purchase or lease land here, so many new well paying jobs are becoming available. While home pricing is beginning to level off in LA and Orange County, home pricing in the high desert is continuing to increase. A home like this with all it's amenities and view would be worth up to double what we're asking if it were located in LA or Orange County.

What is the weather like in the high desert ?

Ask just about anyone who lives here and they'll tell you that the weather is one of the most enjoyable things about living here. Sure it gets warm during the Summer but it's a dry heat. You don't get all that humidity that you'd find down the hill where not only does it get warm but it can get muggy. And it's that muggy, sticky weather that makes it so uncomfortable living down the hill.

Another nice thing about living here is the nice cool breezes that we get in the evenings. Whereas down the hill the air can get so still that sometimes you feel like your choking, up here you can just open up a few windows and enjoy the breeze.

Another real nice thing about living here is the occasional snow fall that we get. Yes, I said snow fall ! You wouldn't think that it could snow in the desert but it does. Remember this is the high desert, it's nothing like Palm Springs. Of course the snow doesn't stay on the ground for very long, may a day or two, but what a treat. What is the air like in Apple Valley ?

Remember blue skies ? It's amazing how much cleaner the air is here than down the hill. The skies are so blue and the clouds are so white that you would think that you're looking at a painting ! And the sunsets, you've got to see them to believe them.

See for yourself and then make a note as you're driving back down the hill how brown and dirty the air looks down the hill. It will make you wonder how you can breath that stuff, day in and day out.
